PersonWithAQuestion asked:

I have read that it is best to wash clothes with cold water, which I get. But what is the best way to dry my clothes to prevent shrinking? I prefer not to use an outside clothesline, but I have been told that trying to air-dry clothes inside could make them smell bad or become moldy. How should I properly dry my clothes?

    well. . .
1.drying clothes inside wont make them moldy if you make sure that they arent soaken. just ring them out in the sink first.
2.use a dryer pad, it’ll release special things that will protect your clothes from shrinking.
3.buy special detergent, there are certain types designed specifically to protect clothes from shrinking.

~~When I definitely don’t want something to shrink, I put it in the dryer on low heat, then set it for damp dry. If you don’t have a setting for that dry in 15-20 minute increments and take out to finish air drying. They won’t smell moldy and the shrinking takes effect when the clothes are actually drying not still damp.~~

See if your dryer has an air/fluff setting. There is no heat on this setting.I sometimes run my clothes thru the spin dry cycle of the washer several times to get as much water out as I can before putting them in the dryer.

Can you get one of those attachments that hang out from the front of your dryer? That would allow the clothes to dry without getting the hot are that would shrink them. They only fit dryers with air flow throu’ front of dryer but if that’s what you’ve got you’re ready to go.
