These are things I have tried over the years:
1. Switch to a nicer-smelling softener but you don't have to add more of the softener.
2. Hang deodoriser or potpourri in the wardrobes and drawers (but same ones, mind you!). My sister once hung a dried orange with lots of cloves stuck to it. It lasted really long...
3. Put 'Bounce' in every wash.

Maybe they do smell nice but you're just too used to the smell that you can't smell them? So you can try switching scents every few months for variety.

quit ****** in the bed and on the clothes.

Vinegar will soften the stain and allow the soap to remove the stain to a level you can accept.

They probably do smell good like something. Your nose is probably just accostomed to the smell.. If you want you can try putting things in your drawers; like oranges, popuri, dryer sheets, cotton balls dipped in perfume... Pretty much anything with a scent you like =]]

Put the clothes back through the washing machine using a white cider vinegar rinse then wash as normal, they will come out as good as new. Unfortunately your aircon is the culprit, central heating has the same effect on clothes. Try and store them away from the system and after washing, put them in plastic bags before puting them away in your draw.

I prefer liquid Tide. Do not wash in cold water if the garmet has any stains because it will set the stains. You can use the liquid tide to pretreat any stains.

Air dry your clothes or dry them on delicate to help keep them from shrinking.

For delicate fabrics I would use Woolite. I works well but you will want to pretreat any stains.

Also, if they are very colorful, I would use Clorox 2 for colors to help keep the colors bright. I use it in every load of mine and my daughters clothes and it helps to keep the colors from fading - I love it! It is also great in the wash to really help remove any stains!

Shout also makes Color Catchers. They look like dryer sheets and you put them in with you wash. They absorb any colors that bleed out in the wash to keep your clothes from absorbing the color. They work really well, but can be hard to find sometimes.

Good Luck and have fun shopping!
