As an artist, if you don’t have a reference, you search for images on the internet for the style you need (hair), print out some pics and draw what you see or add your own flair to it. I can’t teach you to draw in this question except to say, draw what you see and stylize.
All I can tell you about 80’s style - ponytail on the side of your head or big satellite poofy bangs in the front. Well, both together actually.
Neon shirts. Spandex pants. Legwarmers.
Until you realized you were a biker chick and wore faded blue jeans, black high heel boots, a Harley Davidson shirt and a black leather jacket EVERYDAY!
haha
Neo-Hippies? You call someone with a mohawk a hippie and he’ll stomp you into the ground! In fact I still have hair to my ass, you call me a hippie and I’ll do the same. It’s all about the metal!!!! (Last real haircut 12/14/85!)
Neo Hippies are throwbacks to the 60’s. Let’s get this straight. You’re covering a ton of sub-cultures that had nothing to do with That era.
80’s goth chicks look alot like they do now. Same with punks,
If you didn’t grow up during it you just don’t get it!
Research my friend is what you need. Check out 80’s sites and various sub culture sites and you will find what you need. Also The movie Clerks! (Lotsa mall hair!)
later!
are new wavers/punks and goths now called neo-hippies? how about facade hippies or mirage hippies? we called the people you are describing the classic word poseur.
