Skylight asked:

I wash the clothes and they get clean but aren’t they supposed to smell good instead of smelling like nothing? LOL

Do I just add more fabric softener (that smells) so the clothes smell good when they come out of the dryer or what do i do?

Even though i use liquid fabric softener

I use the fabric softener sheets and you can buy them with different strengths of scent. I personally like Lavender Vanilla. Smells great.

one way i found is to get the fabric sofener sheets and put a couple in your clothes in the cabinet or what ever you put em in lol

Careful not to add too much detergent or fabric softener. Especially in front loaders. Dryer sheets leave more scent than liquid fabric softener. I usually save the liquid for things that I have to lay flat or hang to dry. I like Snuggle and Bounce. Both have some pretty nice scents.

You may just need to change the brand of detergent because you’ve gotten used to the smell.

They probably do smell good like something. Your nose is probably just accostomed to the smell.. If you want you can try putting things in your drawers; like oranges, popuri, dryer sheets, cotton balls dipped in perfume… Pretty much anything with a scent you like =]]

    I **** when clothes don’t smell good!
So..what I do is once I get my clothes out of the dryer I spray a tad of my perfume on them and then hang them up…next when I plan what im going to wear the next day I spray the item again the night before wake up put it on and then put my perfume on as I normally do in the morning and there ya go.. you smell wonderful and so do your clothes :)

These are things I have tried over the years:
    1. Switch to a nicer-smelling softener but you don’t have to add more of the softener.
    2. Hang deodoriser or potpourri in the wardrobes and drawers (but same ones, mind you!). My sister once hung a dried orange with lots of cloves stuck to it. It lasted really long…
    3. Put ‘Bounce’ in every wash.

Maybe they do smell nice but you’re just too used to the smell that you can’t smell them? So you can try switching scents every few months for variety.
