the clothes are in storage bins with lids. I am not sure if the yellow stains are from moisture that seeps inside or what. The clothes are only being stored for a year or two.

2 Comments to “When storing clothes, how do I avoid the yellow stains that appear on the clothes after time?”

  1. pagan_earthgirl says:

Most of the time, those yellow stains mean the garment was not washed thoroughly before it was stored away. You need to wash with something like Oxyclean to make sure all the sweat and makeup and such are gone.

If it’s something pretty important you would like to save (like a wedding dress), have it cleaned and sealed at your local dry cleaner.
